David Coverdale original hand-signed 45 record.  Whitesnake was formed in 1978 as a backing band for David Coverdale who had recently left Deep Purple but ended up finding their own sound and fame in the US beginning in 1987 with the release of “Eponymous,” which sold over 8 million copies.  David Coverdale is the only original member of the band that is still a part of the band.
